Magnesium Oxide (MgO) occurs rarely as the mineral Periclase, but is abundant as Magnesite, Dolomite or as sea water, brines and deposits of Mg-rich salt.
MgO refractories are widely used as cores for heating elements because of their high thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity.
The MAG family includes a series of ceramic bodies opportunely formulated made up of Magnesium Oxide with different characteristics and electrical properties.
MAG 80: for the manufacturing of low power heating elements
MAG 94: for the manufacturing of medium power heating elements
MAG 97: for the manufacturing of high power heating elements
